Ironically, the day my Gymboree post posted – we didn’t actually make it to our Gymboree class. We were a little bit late, and there was a very weird hang-up on the highway - a policeman stopped all traffic to clean up some debris on the road, and I think everyone that was stopped really enjoyed seeing the hot-shot guy passing everyone up on the shoulder getting a ticket! Justice! =)
So, we got to the class and Niko had JUST fallen asleep. And I pictured trying to drag him there, having to wake him up and keep him awake… And I just felt so bad! So I went shopping instead.. =) got him some pjs on clearance and a teething toy I will show off when I get the chance.
For now we are trying to get through 3 days without daddy. 2 down, 1 day and 2 more nights to go… I even did the dishes today! Oh and I have finally discovered the joys of day-napping. We both sleep longer if we sleep together.
As for getting him to sleep in his crib (because I was going to work on that while daddy’s out of town)… The AAP recommends sleeping in the same room until at least 6 months of age, so what’s the rush? He can fall asleep in his crib – no problem. He wakes up the same amount in it and out of it. So I’m just gonna take it easy for now, and when he’s waking up less – will make the transfer. I don’t want to “train him” to sleep all night. The thing I’ve read is that it’s a developmental thing, so – I have no problem waiting.
Oh, and I think the best thing I have done for myself as a mother so far is go to the chiropractor today. I knew I needed to for years, I just didn’t know how badly. I feel amazing.

Haha, so funny about the chiropractor – same here. My back has taken a beating lately. The downside of cosleeping for me is sleeping on my side to make room for and feed baby. I feel sleeping on my back has always been more comfy.
